California Regulators Approve Adding Fixed Charge of Up to $24 to Utility Bills
The California Public Utilities Commission voted unanimously on Thursday in favor of a controversial proposal that will lower the amount consumers are charged per kilowatt hour, while adding the fixed charge, based on income, by 2025.

The cochineal is a tiny insect deeply rooted in the history of Oaxaca, Mexico. Female cochineals spend most of their lives with their heads buried in juicy cactus pads, eating and growing.
