Jane Liaw

Jane Liaw is an intern for QUEST. She has an MPH in Environmental Health Sciences from UC Berkeley, and a BS in Earth Systems from Stanford University. For the past few years she has worked in the field of environmental health at state agencies, nonprofits, private consulting and UC Berkeley. Jane has been writing fiction as a hobby since she was young. Last year, she decided to meld her hobby and her job together, so she started a new career as a science writer; she is currently a science communication student at UC Santa Cruz. Jane received a summer reporting fellowship from the Kaiser Family Foundation, and will write about health and medicine at the Sacramento Bee this summer.
