It will be Ross Mirkarimi's first extended broadcast interview since his suspension
SAN FRANCISCO, April 17, 2012 - Ross Mirkarimi is set to appear on KQED's Forum from 9-10am Wednesday for his first extended broadcast interview since he was suspended as San Francisco sheriff, KQED has announced.
Mirkarimi is expected to answer questions from host Michael Krasny and callers about his decision to plead guilty in March to false imprisonment, a charge stemming from a domestic violence case. He also is expected to discuss his subsequent suspension by San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee and his decision to fight an official misconduct case against him. The misconduct case could result in Mirkarimi's removal from office.
KQED's Forum can be heard on 88.5 FM in the Bay Area and online at KQED.org/listen.
