It's pretty well-documented that we here at KQED Pop are unabashed cat people. Still, upon hearing that today is in fact National Dog Day -- a holiday that aims to "help galvanize the public to recognize the number of dogs that need to be rescued each year" -- we had no choice but to cruise over to the San Francisco SPCA's website and do some window shopping.

The result? We picked out some winners for ya. Here are 10 pups currently chilling at a local SPCA adoption center, just waiting for you to take them home.
