It's common knowledge that Oprah has some otherworldly powers. She can convince people who haven't read a book since high school to join a book club. She can make grown men cry just by looking at them. She can make vowels last a really, really long time. And now she can control electricity!

During the unveiling of a Maya Angelou stamp in Washington D.C. this morning (which bears a quote that's not even hers), Oprah had a few things to say about her beloved mentor and friend. And then, the lights went out. In complete darkness, she continues doing her thing because she's Oprah and nothing can stop her. Not since that time some burning bush talked to Moses, has a disembodied voice been so convincing.
