Against incredible odds, Adnan Syed, the subject for the insanely popular Serial podcast, has won his motion to appeal, according to the Baltimore Sun. (If you have no idea what I'm talking about, read up on the appeal.) Adnan's application for leave to appeal claimed his trial attorney, Christina Gutierrez, was ineffective for not checking out a potential alibi (Asia McClain) and not respecting Syed's interest in a possible plea deal. His appeal is scheduled to be heard in June 2015. Now that you know everything, you can call your friends who are obsessed with Serial and scream.
