If you've been in a car in the last few months, you've probably heard Jeremih's "Don't Tell 'Em" on the radio and promptly Shazam'd the crap out of it before listening to it on your own 100 times. Turns out Lorde is just like us. She appeared on BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge and did her own rendition of the song, saying: "I have basically been a really big fan of this song since I first started hearing it around. It’s quite a saucy song...and I think it would be interesting to flip the dynamic and make that power mine." And boy, is it powerful.
Lorde is also making news today for her Twitter feud with Diplo, who tweeted the following about Taylor Swift:
Someone should make a kickstarter to get taylor swift a booty

*checks calendar* Yep, it's 2014 and men are still ridiculing women's bodies for a laugh or whatever this is. Lorde flipped the tables and ridiculed right back.
@diplo should we do something about your tiny penis while we're at it hm

While she's not schooling misogynists, Lorde has been curating the soundtrack for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Pt. 1, which comes out next week and will feature work by the likes of Kanye West, Chvrches, Bat For Lashes, Haim, and Charli XCX. Her own "Yellow Flicker Beat" will also be in the mix. Give it a listen:
