Outside Lands 2014: The Only Playlist You Need to Get Ready

Every summer, audiophiles descend on Golden Gate Park for Outside Lands, a weekend of stuffing your face full of churros, sipping whiskey on blankets, getting lightly trampled, having at least one crippling case of agoraphobia, and, oh yeah, listening to tons of live music. Last year, Paul McCartney, Nine Inch Nails, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs rocked it out, but this year’s roster is surprisingly even better (sorry, Sir Paul).

Kanye West will return to the city where he proposed to Kim (will Khloe attend?!), Tom Petty will return to the festival for seconds (his first appearance was in 2008), and Macklemore will revel in all the same love SF has to offer. And that just skims the surface. Also in attendance: less high profile, but equal caliber acts like Disclosure, CHVRCHES, Big Freedia, and Lykke Li. I could go on about how pumped you should be, but the power of music does it so much better, so here’s a mix to get you ready for Outside Lands 2014! Tickets go on sale this Thursday, April 10 at 10am.
