Sad day you guys. Roger Ebert, the surviving half of film reviewing super-team Siskel and Ebert and one of the most well-known and prolific film critics in the world, has died from cancer. He was 70, which seems like it should read he was "only 70." Two days ago he posted this note about how he was taking "a leave of presence."
Definitely a big loss for movie lovers everywhere. Besides just being a critic, he was a great writer, and as NPR notes, he was the first film critic to win the Pulitzer Prize, back in 1975.
