It should come as a surprise to approximately no one that Mandy Patinkin is a really great human being. In this video from CBC Radio in Canada, sent to me by my parents who still share an email address and literally only turn on their cellphones in emergencies but somehow have their fingers on the pulse of all things Canadian and are probably going to secretly immigrate there when I’m not looking, Mandy Patinkin talks about reciting names of dead friends, living in the moment and his awesome personal spiritual practice. Spoiler: Because he is Canadian and a highly respectful and respectable human being, the interviewer does NOT ask him if he ever chants, “Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.” Still, this video is worth watching at least three times. Then listen to the whole interview.
