The midterms are stressing a lot of Americans the hell out today. Many Hindus all over the world, on the other hand, are celebrating day two of the festival of Tihar. If you're not Hindu, you might be asking, "Say what now?" Well, Kukur Tihar breaks down like this:
- Day 1: Crow festival
- Day 2: Dog festival
- Day 3: Cow festival
- Day 4: Ox festival
- Day 5: Bhai Tika, on which human siblings honor one another.
Let's take a moment to be in awe of the fact that Hinduism has an entire day to honor dogs (why is this not a thing in all religions?) and that it just happens to be today, of all days. Then, soothe all of your election stress with these very good dogs.
