Weather experts say the next couple weeks could be some of the worst in California history for wildfires caused by lightning strikes. Three years of drought have caused the state's wildlands to become incredibly dry. Fire weather meteorologist Basil Newmerzhycky says fuels are already at mid-to-late August dryness -- and the coming weeks could bring 500-1,000 lightning strikes across the state.
