Gov. Jerry Brown is maintaining his large lead in the race for governor. The latest Public Policy Institute of California poll gives the Democrat a 21-point lead over Republican challenger Neel Kashkari. Six in 10 voters showed support for Proposition 1, a $7.5 billion package of water measures.
