Surgery is scary enough. No one wants to worry about whether the devices or medical hardware being used are authentic. This summer we reported on a lawsuit accusing a Riverside County firm of putting counterfeit spinal screws in people's backs. Now, reporter Christina Jewett with the Center for Investigative Reporting finds out how the company behind the caper pulled it off.
