Covered California Enrollment 'Very Strong' So Far

California is posting strong numbers for new health plan enrollments. We're now in the second open enrollment period under the nation's new health care law. More than 290,000 people have signed up on Covered California, the state's health insurance marketplace. That includes both people who qualify for private health insurance or Medi-Cal.
