Rough Fire Brings Smoke and Dirty Air to Central Valley

The Rough Fire, burning in the Sierra Nevada east of Fresno, has become the largest wildfire in the state. Until this week, wind and humidity kept the smoke away from the Central Valley. But now, smoke has billowed down from the mountains into a region that already has some of the nation's dirtiest air.
