If California voters approve Proposition 64 on Election Day, legalizing the recreational use of marijuana, the law would have different impacts in different counties. Mendocino County is known for its redwood trees, its spectacular coastline and of course its weed. Legalization might affect a controversial county program that allows some marijuana defendants to plead to misdemeanors - if they pay a hefty fee.
