Imagine getting a check in the mail and using it to send your kids to any school you wanted. Some states already do this through tax-credit scholarships. And President Trump and Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos want to make them available to families across the country. Here in California, some education experts have rejected this idea, saying it hurts public schools and violates the separation of church and state.
