State Capitol (John Myers/KQED)

There are "known unknowns," as Donald Rumsfeld so once famously said. And it certainly feels like it holds true when assessing the potential for a 2016 fight over California's minimum wage.

This week's California Politics Podcast examines the road ahead for organized labor's effort to boost the minimum wage via a statewide ballot initiative.

We also take a look at some of the notable bills in the Legislature as the first big legislative deadline approached. And we discuss Gov. Jerry Brown's busy week in water: Potentially large fines, and the reworking of his hotly debated Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta plan.

I'm joined by KQED News' Marisa Lagos and Anthony York of the Grizzly Bear Project.
