As part of its Boomtown series, KQED is trying to paint a picture of the current economic boom -- who’s thriving, who’s being left behind and what’s changing. With that goal in mind, we’re asking you, our trusty, always awesome audience, to share photos with us.

Photos of what, you ask? Photos of new things popping up in your neighborhood, of signs of change, of what makes the Bay Area worth (or not worth) its high cost. We'll have a different prompt every couple of weeks. But first, we want to meet you. So to help us create a mosaic of who actually lives in the Bay Area, take a selfie, tag it #lifeinboomtown and include a few words -- perhaps your name, where you live and what you do.

I’ll go first:

This is what an engagement producer looks like. Amanda, proud resident of South City! #lifeinboomtown (Amanda Stupi/KQED)

Pretty easy, right? And collectively we can capture who it is that makes up this modern-day Boomtown known as the Bay Area. You can post your pictures on Instagram or Twitter and remember to tag them #lifeinboomtown. Our handle is @KQEDNews. We look forward to meeting you!
