There is a major delay on BART's Fremont line due to the death of a child who was struck and killed by a train at the San Leandro station. BART has "truncated service" between Fruitvale and Bay Fair stations, and alternate transportation is recommended. The age and gender of the child has not been released. BART is trying to put buses in service between Fruitvale and Bay Fair, the Bay Area News Group reports.
The Coliseum station is now open.
