The San Francisco Dungeon, a theatrical attraction on Fisherman’s Wharf near pier 41, recently debuted spooky new characters and acts just in time for Halloween.

The dungeon, which opened in June, is an immersive live action show. Visitors are guided through a series of nine acts depicting 200 years of San Francisco’s history, including creepy tales from the gold rush days to a 1907 murder on Alcatraz.

For Halloween season, the full 60-minute show boasts the dungeon’s newest featured character, The Lady of Stow Lake. Urban legend has it that The Lady of Stow Lake has been haunting Golden Gate Park for over 100 years in search of her lost son.

Audiences are in for a series of scary, funny and eccentric surprises at the dungeon, and will even get the chance to participate in the action themselves.

The dungeon is open Thursday through Sunday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. It is appropriate for ages 10 and up.
