Two recently released climate change reports make it clear that climate change is not a thing of the distant future. Climate change is already happening. Local governments in the Bay Area have begun to recognize extreme weather events, sea level rise, prolonged heat waves and drought as signs of climate change at home, but are they doing enough to mitigate worse effects in the future?

What do you call science’s 32 years of “95%” certainty?
Anything you WANT it to be, except sustainable in “belief” for another 3 decades.

Find us one IPCC warning that says; “will be” or “inevitable” or anything beyond; “could be”.
So science can be 100% certain the earth is NOT flat but 95% sure CO2 “could” flatten it?

First off, put down the wine boo-boo you’re slurring. No one can say anything with hundred percent certainty, if you have sex without protection it isn’t 100 pc certain that your partner will get pregnant, but if a fertile male and female copulate without protection there is a high probability that the female will become pregnant. 99pc of doctors will tell you that unprotected sex leads to pregnancy but I’m sure that you don’t believe them go around having sex indiscriminately with anyone and everyone you can find because hey it’s only 99pc of doctors.

When reading the IPCC’s 5th Assessment, the data agrees with every other major climate study produced in the last decade from the National Climate Assessment to GEO5’s assessments. Every major academic institutions, every creditable climatologist, meteorologist, oceanographer will tell you the same thing.

From the IPCC’s 5th Assessment Summary For Policymakers Section E.1 Atmosphere: Temperature “Relative to the average from year 1850 to 1900, global surface temperature change by the end of the 21st century is projected to likely exceed 1.5°C for RCP4.5, RCP6.0 and RCP8.5 (high confidence). Warming is likely to exceed 2°C for RCP6.0 and RCP8.5 (high confidence), more likely than not to exceed 2°C for RCP4.5 (high confidence), but unlikely to exceed 2°C for RCP2.6 (medium confidence). Warming is unlikely to exceed 4°C for RCP2.6, RCP4.5 and RCP6.0 (high confidence) and is about as likely as not to exceed 4°C for RCP8.5 (medium confidence). {12.4}”

Human driven climate change is real and it is the greatest intergenerational tyranny ever exacted on mankind. I’ll tell you this much I’m highly confident that you were born without a forebrain.
