Update: PG&E says power has been restored to all customers. The outage affected many of the same customers as last night's interruption, but the company has not yet determined if the two are connected.
(Bay City News) Nearly 7,000 PG&E customers are without power in San Francisco this morning, a utility spokeswoman said.
The outage was reported at about 7:55 a.m. and is affecting neighborhoods as far north as Laurel Heights and as far south as Haight-Ashbury, PG&E spokeswoman Brittany McKannay said.
Crews are in the area to try to determine the cause of the outage, McKannay said.
There was no estimate as of 8:45 a.m. for when power might be restored to the affected customers, she said.
