At about 8:30 p.m. Oakland police declared an unlawful assembly and asked the thousands of protesters gathered at Frank Ogawa Plaza to disperse.

About two hundred protesters marched from downtown San Francisco to Turk and Gough where they took over a building owned by the San Francisco Catholic Archdiocese. A month earlier protesters had tried to take over the same building and 75 were arrested.

Jesse Nesbitt, 34, of San Francisco, began throwing bricks, pipes and other debris at police and protesters alike after 888 Turk was cleared out. He is charged with aggravated assault, aggravated assault of a police officer and felony vandalism.
