A.M. Splash: Poll -- California Support For Same-Sex Marriage at 59%; PG&E Wants Customers to Pay For Pipeline Upgrade

Support for same-sex marriage in California has never been higher, with 59 percent of the state's voters backing the legalization of gay nuptials, according to a new Field Poll.

Despite its recent efforts to be more customer-focused, Pacific Gas & Electric continued to insist Tuesday that ratepayers pick up the bulk of the tab for upgrading its aging gas pipelines, though it did make a small concession by agreeing to pay for tests on some of its pipelines.
