This is actually a pitch for the DISCLOSE Act, a campaign finance disclosure bill being pushed by Democrats as a response to the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision, which removed restrictions on independent political spending by corporations and unions, and which has brought so much of that informative campaign advertising you’ve been admiring this election cycle.
