Held yesterday, by TheTeaParty.net. Participants in the GOP-only event, as described by Time's Techland blog:

Gingrich, former CEO of Godfather's Pizza Herman Cain, Rep. Michele Bachmann, former Sen. Rick Santorum, former Gov. Gary Johnson, and Rep. Thaddeus McCotter all participated in the debate, which was moderated by S.E. Cupp, a right-leaning columnist, with live analysis by Rusty Humphries, a conservative talk radio show host.

Not everyone thought it was such a smashing affair. In terms of serious issues, the limitations of the medium don't allow for much more thanpoorly written bumper stickers (Michele Bachmann: "Our security requires a strong defense and wise leadership. I will preserve our #military strength while using it judiciously." Newt Gingrich: "Controlling the border and defending America are job 1 under the Constitution.")

The event did, however, raise and answer three questions in my regionally-focused mind:

1) Thaddeus McCotter is running for president? (Answer: apparently)
2) Who is Thaddeus McCotter? (Answer: House Republican, Michigan)
3) Who has the best Twitter handle? (Answer: THEHermanCain)

You can see the entire debate here.
