I'm still waiting for someone to invite me to Google Plus, so I can't say yet whether the reality of the Google's bid to catch up with Facebook in the social media space actually lives up to the hype.

But this little video created in Xtranormal, now being tweeted around, is cynical as to the product's usefulness.

"Are you on Google Plus?" asks one critter to the next.

"No. What is that?"

"It is the greatest social network ever. It is a gift from God."

"Oh. What is so great about it?"

"It is a place where you can connect with your friends to share links, video, pictures and more."

"Isn't that Facebook?"

"No. This is by Google."

And...

"What do people talk about on Google Plus?"

"Google Plus."
