Cal Baseball's Dream Season Comes to an End

The top-seeded Virginia Cavaliers proved too much for the Cal Bears who lost 8-1, ending their bid in the College World Series tournament. Losses are never fun, and this one in particular wasn't pretty with Cal hitting batters, making errors, and failing to score on Virginia until the eighth inning. The Daily Californian called it "a bitter way to be sent home." Perhaps, but I have a feeling as time passes, the bitter ending won't be what people remember about this season.
