Well here’s something I didn’t know. While working up the previous post on tonight’s opening of Tales of the City at ACT, I found you can watch the 1993 mini-series on Hulu.

If you want to work up a hankering for the musical, check it out. The production, which brought Laura Linney to prominence, was a big deal locally, as I recall, with everyone around town tuning in, if only to check out all the location shooting.

Oh, and here’s the original “Tales” installment that ran in the Chronicle in 1976. The paper reprinted it last Sunday.
