San Jose State University officials identified the victims of Tuesday night’s murder/suicide as two graduating seniors. 25-year-old Marcory Tarlit Caliguiran and 26-year-old Thomas Kyle Williams were killed while sitting in Caliguiran’s car in a campus garage Tuesday evening. The alleged shooter, Caliguiran’s 54-year-old husband, Napolean Lavarias Caliguiran, is believed to have shot himself after killing the two students. He died at a nearby hospital.
The San Jose Police Department and university police are jointly investigating the case. They feel it is an isolated incident of domestic violence but have yet to determine the motive behind the shooting.
