The 2011 "Oscars of Food" (aka The James Beard Awards) are happening right now. Watch the livestream on JamesBeard.org. And for the bandwidth-starved foodies, you can keep up with the event on Twitter or Bay Area Bites.

Not surprisingly, many Bay-Area chefs, restaurants and writers are up for awards this year. The SFGate food blog, Inside Scoop SF, has kindly identified them for us. Oh, and congratulations are in order to that blog's mothership, The San Francisco Chronicle, for the Best-Food-Section nomination.

Here's the complete list of nominations.
