Power Restored in Pacifica after 3.7 Earthquake

Update 8:20 p.m. Power has been restored in Pacifica. The Examiner reports some 10,000 people were affected by the outage that occurred after a 3.7 quake struck two miles southeast of that city. The temblor was felt all over the Bay Area.

Update 3:50 p.m. KRON reports 7,000 without power in Pacifica.

Update 3:52 p.m. KQED's Erika Kelly just got off the phone with PG&E. The utility confirms 7,000 people are without power, a portion of which are in the Edgemar area.

The outage occurred at 3p.m., a few minutes after the quake, but the company can't confirm yet that is the exact cause of.

Update 4:08 p.m.Pacifica Patch is running updates on the quake.

Update 4:38 p.m. The quake has been downgraded from a 3.8 to a 3.4.
