Video: Google's Wael Ghonim Credits Facebook for Egyptian Revolution

CNN today interviewed Wael Ghonim, the Google marketing executive and anti-government activist who became an inspiration to Egyptian protesters after being freed from custody and giving an emotional interview on TV.

Questioned by Wolf Blitzer today, Ghonim credited the Internet and especially Facebook for facilitating the country's revolution. "I want to meet Mark Zuckerberg one day and thank him," Ghonim said. "The Internet helps you fight the media war, which is basically a war the Egyptian regime played really well in 1970, 1980, 1990. And when the Internet came, it really couldn't."

When asked if he would enter Egyptian politics now, Ghonim said, "I want to go back to my company and work."

Ghonim of course is tweeting up a storm...
