Here's the schedule of events related to Jean Quan's inauguration today, per the city of Oakland. A live stream of the inauguration ceremony will be webcast at the city's web site. (But if you're interested in such things, better get out that second computer: Jerry Brown's inauguration will be webcast at the exact same time.)

Official Inauguration Ceremony

The official inauguration will include the swearing-in of Mayor-elect Quan, City Councilmembers Patricia Kernighan (District 2), Libby Schaaf (District 4), and Desley Brooks (District 6), City Auditor Courtney Ruby and Oakland Unified School Board Directors David Kakishiba (District 2), Gary Yee (District 4) and Christopher Dobbins (District 6).

Tickets available on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open at 10 am.

Open House @ City Hall

Many people have never been inside our beautiful City Hall, built in 1914 and lovingly restored after the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake. Visit the Mayor’s office, take a photo at the Mayor’s desk. Sign up to volunteer at our schools, parks, and libraries. Music in the Council Chambers. City Hall, 14th Street between Broadway & Clay.
