UPDATE 10:45 A.M. If you're feeling a bit waterlogged, you should see what's going on in the Southland -- the LA Times has some amazing photos up.

Still and all, more rain is headed our way. The National Weather Service has issued an alert for the Bay Area and surroundings:

...ANOTHER ROUND OF RAINFALL FORECAST FOR LATER THIS WEEK...

...TRAVEL TO HIGHER ELEVATIONS MAY BECOME VERY DIFFICULT...
SHOWERS WILL DECREASE TODAY AS A COLD FRONT MOVES EAST OF THE AREA. DRY WEATHER IS ANTICIPATED ON THURSDAY AND FRIDAY...BUT BY CHRISTMAS DAY...ANOTHER STORM SYSTEM IS FORECAST TO AFFECT THE AREA. THE WEEKEND STORM SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO BE FAST MOVING...BUT COULD DROP AS MUCH AS TWO INCHES OF RAIN IN THE HIGHER TERRAIN AND UP TO AN INCH
IN THE URBAN AREAS. GUSTY WINDS ARE ALSO POSSIBLE AS THE FRONT MOVES THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING. THIS SYSTEM WILL ALSO PRODUCE ANOTHER ROUND OF SNOWFALL OVER THE SIERRA...SO HOLIDAY TRAVELERS WILL NEED TO USE
CAUTION.

PERSONS PLANNING ON TRAVELING OR WITH OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES DURING THE UPCOMING HOLIDAY WEEKEND SHOULD CLOSELY MONITOR THE LATEST FORECASTS AND PLAN ACCORDINGLY. REMEMBER TO ALWAYS CARRY AN
EMERGENCY KIT IN YOUR VEHICLE IN CASE YOU BECOME STRANDED.

If you live in Santa Clara County, you can sign up for the county's Emergency Alert System to receive voice, text, or email alerts about a variety of emergency situations.

Here are alerts from the National Weather Service by county. You can also add alerts for all of California to your RSS reader.

Finally, to keep up with the latest on the wet and wild weather, check out the local TV news sites. KRON 4 posts the latest weather report from its broadcast on its home page, and KTVU and KGO have regional radar of the encroaching storm. As do we.
