  • This Chronicle Politics Blog post provides some measure of hope for Nancy Pelosi-loving Democrats.

If past is prologue, Nancy Pelosi just might be back as Speaker of the House of Representatives before you learn to spell B-O-E-H-N-E-R.

There have been three elections since World War II in which House Republicans toppled their Democratic counterparts on Capitol Hill — although this is the first time the House has gone Republican without the Senate following suit.

  • It's only Tuesday, but perhaps it's already been a tough week. This may help: From Oakland North, Adoptable Animal of the Week. (Spoiler alert: It's a bunny.)
