From Politico:

Asked about the cancellation by POLITICO, representatives for both camps were tight-lipped.

“There were discussions with the station about a debate, by mutual agreement of both campaigns those discussions have been tabled,” Brown spokesman Sterling Clifford said.

A Whitman source added that there is “no debate” and that “the campaigns have jointly communicated that fact to KGO...”

(KGO host Ronn) Owens tweeted, “The Brown/Whitman debate scheduled for tomorrow on my show isn't going to happen. I'm beyond disappointed.”
