Tough Times for Infrastructure

Add falling concrete on the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge to the list of Bay Area infrastructure woes. On the bright side, the bridge is open again... for now.

Dangerous chunks of concrete falling on the bridge's roadway come on the heels of a huge gas explosion in San Francisco and ongoing investigations into PG&E's fire liabilities.

Oh, and BART is stopping their early morning train service to do retrofit work so the Transbay Tube doesn't have a catastrophic flood during an earthquake.

Keep an eye on infrastructure of the aquatic variety over the next week since it sounds like another big storm may be on the way.
