Following the horrific stabbing of two young women at MacArthur BART Station this week that left an 18-year-old dead, riders are on edge. The transit system is also under fire for not immediately notifying the public about two other recent assaults that turned fatal. BART’s police department is understaffed and is also grappling with a concentration of homeless people and drug use at some stations. We interview BART Police Chief Carlos Rojas.
