Add "warmer nights" to the long list of things making for a tough California fire season.

Cal Fire has already responded to about 260 more fires this season than it did at the same time last year.

With the Klamathon fire still burning along the California-Oregon border and over 50 structures lost in Alpine -- a small community east of San Diego -- California's longer, hotter and earlier fire season is in full swing.
