More eyes are on Facebook as the Federal Trade Commission, the U.S. Senate and state attorneys general probe data privacy at the company.

Concerns about Facebook user privacy increased after the Cambridge Analytica story broke.

The website Ars Technica recently reported that Facebook has been gathering years worth of users' call log data, telephone numbers and text message data.

Providing information about contacts and call logs helps "create a better experience for everyone," according to Facebook.

Facebook has lost $100 billion in market value since March 17.
