Elon Musk's SpaceX successfully launched the world's most powerful rocket into space, with a Tesla roadster along for the ride.

Two of the three separate rocket boosters on the Falcon Heavy rocket landed back on the ground as planned.

The fate of the "center core" booster rocket, which was supposed to land on a barge in the ocean, has not been reported.

SpaceX is currently livestreaming views from the orbiting spacecraft and convertible Tesla.
