With Sen. Mitch McConnell assuring Democrats a vote on immigration, legislation moving through Congress is expected to end the 3-day government shutdown.

An end to the shutdown will mean a hodgepodge of closures and furloughs will end.

In the meantime, lawmakers must agree to a long-term spending plan and vote on immigration legislation . . . by Feb. 8.
