House Republicans are trying to drastically change the way California uses water. H.R. 23 would send more water to farms, and less to wildlife refuges.

In a strongly-worded statement, Attorney General Xavier Becerra pointed out that this bill would force California to adopt weaker federal water quality standards instead of the state's tougher environmental regulations.
