The Bay Area has more dance troupes per capita than any other city in the U.S. Dance Week kicks off Friday throughout the Bay Area, celebrating the region’s eclectic and enthusiastic dance community with over 200 participating organizations and 600 free events for the public. We talk with a panel of dancers and artistic directors about the region’s strong dance culture, the diversity of styles and the tradition of collaboration among local artists.
