Ten years ago, four friends fresh out of college took a road trip across the country. They interviewed people with interesting jobs about how they ended up doing what they loved. Now, “Roadtrip Nation” is a PBS documentary series and the basis of a school curriculum that has students taking road trips to interview successful people about their jobs.

We talk with local participants in the Roadtrip Nation curriculum about what they’ve learned about how to find their dream job.

Guests:

Martha Escalera, director of the Student Success Program at the National Hispanic University in San Jose

Adriana Jacquez, freshman at the National Hispanic University who participated in Roadtrip Nation as a summer bridge program before her freshman year

Tevin Liao, 10th grader at Thurgood Marshall High School who's involved with Roadtrip Nation

Michelle Peyton, teacher at South San Francisco High School who teaches the Roadtrip Nation curriculum

Brian McCallister, founder and outreach director of Roadtrip Nation

Carina Gomez, sophomore at South San Francisco High School and a participant in the Road Trip Nation curriculum
