On Monday, the 538 members of the Electoral College are set to gather in their respective state capitals to cast their votes for president. Critics of President-elect Donald Trump — citing his business conflicts of interest, rejection of security briefings and other concerns — are calling for electors to “flip” and vote for an alternative candidate. We’ll talk with Stanford election law expert Nathan Persily about the role of the electors and what it would take for such an effort to succeed.
