San Francisco’s Board of Supervisors votes today on whether to continue to study a controversial congestion pricing proposal for San Francisco. Proponents say it’s necessary to deal with increased traffic, but opponents say it’s unfair to commuters and will drive business out of the city.

Under congestion pricing, drivers entering downtown and surrounding areas during peak hours would be charged a toll. The money gathered would go to strengthening public transportation.

Guests:

Jose Luis Moscovich, executive director of the San Francisco County Transportation Authority

Rob Black, vice president of public policy at the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce

Rachel Gordon, City Hall reporter for the San Francisco Chronicle

Jerry Hill, California State assemblymember

Ross Mirkarimi, San Francisco supervisor, representing District 5
